Rangnang Enzyme Factory located in Rangnang District of Pyongyang produces enzymes for industrial purposes, such as fibrinokinases, proteases, amylolytic enzymes and liquefying amylases, as well as their applied goods.

Its enzyme products made of abundant domestic materials are low in price and good in quality, so they are widely used in the stockbreeding, sericulture, pharmaceuticals, textile and foodstuff industries.

The factory is building up its own technical force to bring about bright prospects for developing bacteria-growing technology and also planning technical exchange and cooperation with developed countries.
