The Pyongyang Golf Course, located along the shores of Lake Thaesong, has a marvellous landscape plus a refreshing air coming from picturesque surrounding scenery featured by thick woods. It was opened in September, 1987 and was designed and composedwell enough to match the local natural environment and retained its beautiful  natural environment, so it was popular with golf lovers.
Recently it has been renovated splendidly to meet the international standard: The total length of golf holes has been increased, more bunkers created, and the flatness and density of the grass per square metre improved significantly while leaving the natural elevations between the holes intact.Thus the course has become fit for international games.
Lodging quarters and service facilities have been newly built by the lake so that the golfers may have a pleasant time during their stay.
The Pyongyang Golf Course is always provided with enough equipment and attendantsto accommodateover 200 gold competitors at a time.
