The State Stamp Bureau of the DPRK, a unitary postal security issuing organization in the DPRK, engages in the design, issuance, collection, research and distribution of stamps, postal securities, philately-related publications, and 3D photos.
The Korea Stamp Museum attracts many philatelists and amateurs at home and abroad with its display of over 6 000 stamps including old Korean stamps of historical values and those issued by the DPRK from the early days of its founding to the present, postal securities, and diplomas and trophies which the Korean stamps won in the world stamp exhibitions, international stamp contests and so on.
The Korea Stamp Exhibition Hall serves as a venue of various philately-related events including national stamp shows and ceremonies for either jointly issuing stamps or issuing commemorative stamps. And it sells Korean stamps, postal securities, Korean specialties and different kinds of tourist souvenirs.
The State Stamp Bureau of the DPRK strengthens international cooperation in jointly issuing stamps through its overseas branches and agencies, and takes part in the international stamp exhibitions to conduct the sale and distribution of stamp and postal securities.
